Vizuální performance Fatherland kombinuje prvky časosběrné živé performance, dokumentu a videa. Režisér Jan Mocek v ní vychází z intimní a mnohoznačné situace: na jevišti se potká se svým o 34 let starším otcem Janem Mockem. Stejné jméno i nápadná tělesná podobnost mužů je pro ně oba pak impulzem ke hře s identitou, v níž se přítomnost otce mění v budoucnost syna. Vedle osobní, dokumentární roviny, obsahuje představení i politickou dimenzi. V mužském rodu zkoumá téma maskulinity na pozadí rozpadu a znovunalézání naší, české, individuální a kolektivní identity.

The visual performance Fatherland combines elements of video installation, documentary and theatre. Director Jan Mocek based it on intimate and multi-layered situations: he meets on the stage with his 34 years older father Jan Mocek. The same name and remarkable physical similarity of both men is an impulse to play with the theme of identity, in which the presence of the father transforms into the future of the son. Besides the personal, documentary level, the performance also contains a political dimension. The subject of masculinity is examined in a male family against the background of the disintegration and re-inventing of our Czech individual and collective identity.
